Trial¶
Bella Commander works fully for 30 days from the first start. In the last week the status line says how many days are left. After that it is read-only until you enter a license: you can still browse, view, search and copy paths, but nothing that changes files (copy, move, rename, delete, pack, synchronize, your own commands).
Core and Full¶

With Core, the three Full tools open the license dialog instead, where Upgrade to Full leads to the shop. An upgrade you bought arrives the next time you open one of them.
Activate¶
Run License… from the command palette, type or paste the key from your purchase email (BCMD-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) and press Enter. A typing mistake is caught at once. Activating needs the internet once; afterwards the license is checked offline at every start, so Bella Commander keeps working without a connection.
Two computers¶
A license works on two computers at once, for example a laptop and a desktop. Deactivate this computer in the license dialog frees its place, for example before you move to a new computer; then activate the key there.
Versions and subscriptions¶
A license covers the major version you bought it for: a 1.x license works with every 1.x version. A subscription always covers the newest version until its end date, which the license dialog shows; after it ends Bella Commander is read-only, and a renewed subscription is picked up at the next start.
